Unknown photographer: An original b/w press photo of the English actor Peter Sellers (1925–1980) in his role as a catholic priest in the movie “Revenge of the Pink Panther” (1978). Photo size 24×18 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm. Apparently the perfectionist Stanley Kubrick was the only director, which Peter Sellers truly respected. Apart from “Dr. Strangelove” Kubrick also gave him a strong role as the strange Quilty in “Lolita”. At the same time Sellers could ridicule and humiliate Blake Edwards, the man in charge of “The Pink Panther”-movies. Rumour has it that Peter Sellers hated these films.
This is an original black-and-white photograph from 1978, which shows normal signs of age and handling as well as damages on the reverse. Furthermore the front and the reverse have somewhat yellowed.
