Rare autograph of Rossini. The letter, dated 12 June 1851, is written in Florence, where the composer resided. Rossini wrote to Antonio Monghini 1822-1875, a patriot repaired in Florence after having participated in the experience of the Roman Republic. The letter refers to the payment of a substantial sum of money, to be made through a bank: it is interesting to note that Antonio Monghini mainly dealt with finance and the banking system.
