Autographs Royal Family (Nineteenth Century) 1815 (c.) - 1828, a group of letters with Princess Charlotte A.L.S. to Mr Ponsoby thanking him for the information on Lady Barbon's safe confinement; Princess Charlotte A.L.S. to her bookbinder, these letters include three coins; 1824 Free front signed " Sussex" (Prince Augustus Frederick ; 1828 mourning wrapper to the Heralds College, London, signed " Clarence" in the corner with crowned Free datestamp and undated Hounslow mileage mark. (4 items) Princess Charlotte Augusta of Wales (1796 – 1817) was the only child of George, Prince of Wales (later to become King George IV) and Caroline of Brunswick. If she had outlived both her grandfather King George III and her father, she would have become Queen of the United Kingdom, but she died following childbirth at the age of 21. Created Duke of Clarence and St Andrews and Earl of Munster on 16 May 1789 he later became William IV (William Henry; 1765 – 1837) was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover from 26 June 1830 until his death. The third son of George III and younger brother and successor to George IV, he was the last king and penultimate monarch of Britain's House of Hanover. Prince Augustus Frederick Duke of Sussex (1773 – 1843) was the 6th son and 9th child of King George III and his consort Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
