Minor handling creases. Blanche Stuart Scott first made headlines in 1910 as one of the first women to drive a car cross country and later that year met Glenn Curtiss, likely the man standing at left in this image, who took her on as his only female aviation student. She was flying publicly by the end of that year and is considered the first professional female pilot. Signed items from the aviatrix are scarce and we find few examples.
