Bank Notes, Cancellations, 1870-88, massive 'old-time' accumulation of many thousands (possibly more) of used stamps collected primarily for their cancellations, housed in seven binders or stockbooks, in glassines, envelopes and on stock pages, also incl. some unused (mostly without gum), shades, plate varieties, etc., cancels incl. many geometrics (some NYFM's), patent cancels, many positive and negative letters and numbers, duplex cancels with letters or numbers, ring target cancels with numbers, many stars, wheels of fortune, crosses, various grids, fancy cancels incl. masks, faces, skull and crossbones, hearts, insects, animals, shields with stars, Masonic and Fraternal, KKK, Glen Allen Stars, Weston W's, no. 212 with Burlington, Vt. precancel (two), colors incl. red, blue, magenta, purple and a couple in green, a magnificent probably untouched 'old-time' accumulation that will yield many useful items for the specialist or dealer alike, usual very mixed condition and incl. some 'reference' cancels (not counted), but overall good-very fine lot, very high catalog value, worthy of examination
