Paris: Basan et Poignant, 1781. 4° (284 x 220mm), 120 engraved plates (including two engraved titles) on 116 sheets. (Occasional light browning.) Contemporary tree calf, gilt spine with red morocco gilt label, marbled endpapers, marbled edges (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance : AE (gilt crowned monogram on covers). The plates depict paintings by Brueghel, Blanchard, Veronese, Claude Lorrain van Everdingen, Gerard Dou, Houbraken, Lairesse, Rembrandt, Rubens, and Van Dyck. Brunet I, 686; Cohen-de-Ricci 116.
