Proceedings of the Expedition to explore the Northern Coast of Africa, from Tripoly eastward; in MDCCCXXI and MDCCCXXII, 1st edition, John Murray 1828, 11 aquatint plates (2 hand-coloured, 1 folding), 2 engraved plates, 9 engraved maps and charts (1 folding), errata slip, variable generally faint spotting to plates, marginal repair to fold of folding plate, bookplate of the earls of Egremont (abraded and offset), contemporary ownership inscription 'Geo. Wyndham' to title-page, contemporary straight-grain red half morocco, richly gilt spine with monogram 'G. W.' at foot, sides rubbed, 4to (Qty: 1) Abbey Travel 305. The author's first book. Provenance: probably George Wyndham (1751-1837), 3rd Earl of Egremont; Library of Colin and Joan Deacon.
