They shared the house until 1931 and it remained Winifred's home for the rest of her life. The view is from the master bedroom, which is also the subject of a number of Ben Nicholson's oil paintings, see for example '1925 (Banks Head looking east)' (Peter Khoroche, Ben Nicholson (London, Phaidon, 1993), p.27).
