Second edition, published one year after the Greenfield, 1797 edition, of the first American architecture book. "There is scarcely a village which in moulding profiles, cornice details, church spire, or farm-house does not reflect his influence" ( DAB ). RARE: according to American Book Prices Current , no complete copy of this work in first or second edition has sold at auction in at least 30 years. No explanatory text for plates 9-10, 17-18, and 29-33 as issued. Evans 33399.
