Bible, English.- The Holy Bible containing the Old Testament and the New. Newly translated out of ye original tongues. And with the former translations diligently compared and revised by his Majesties speciall Command, double column, engraved pictorial title with a view of London at foot, NT title with woodcut ornament and woodcut typographic border, 2X4 with small section cut away from foot with loss of sig. and catchword, occasional ink staining at page edges, mostly at head, encroaching on text in some places, especially towards end of OT, occasional spotting, printer's waste used as endpapers, including a large royal arms printed in red, Printed by John Field one of his Highness's Printers, [1658] bound with The Whole Book of Psalms, John Field 1658, contemporary black panelled morocco, gilt, spine richly so and in compartments, foot of spine and upper fore-edge worn, rubbed, 12mo. ⁂ Unrecorded by ESTC. The general title is erroneously dated 1638. The OT ends on 2Q5 and the NT on 3D12.
