London: John Day for Thomas Petit [colophon John Day for Abraham Vele], [1556?]. 8° (140 x 90mm). Collation: A-Q 8 . Title within woodcut border [McKerrow & Ferguson 64], with blank Q7. (Lacking final blank Q8; small marginal wormhole in lower corner of some leaves.) 19th-century blue morocco, by W. Pratt (hinges scuffed), edges gilt. Provenance : John, 4th Marquess of Bute bookplate. A fine copy of a very rare edition of the liturgical Epistles and Gospels. Not in Herbert; STC 2980.2 locates this copy only.
