Lot of 28 pinbacks from a variety of black causes, circa 1970-1985. Most approx. 2.25 in. Pins include: "No Patience for Rearguard Leadership / George Jackson / Soledad Brother" with image of Jackson before pan-African flag. Designed by Michael Brown circa 1982. Artist and date printed on the curl. "Black Veterans Unite." Photographic print of 3 men holding weapons. "The Negro Ensemble Company." N.d., circa July 1982. The theater company was established in 1967 with several notable alumni including Denzel Washington, Danny Glover, Angela Bassett, Laurence Fishburn, Giancarlo Esposito, and more.
