Includes the important world map, of which Shirley observes: "As with all productions of the firm of Blaeu, the engraving and layout are all of the highest standard." This volume corresponds to those in the Bibliotheca Nacional and the Museo Naval, Madrid, in including the resplendent baroque frontispiece. In common with the volume in the Library of Congress, it lacks the engraved title and does not include the 'Amigo Lector' leaf.
