On half-title, a manuscript note that includes the title line: I reckon she may read [The Saga of Billy the Kid] when the parson passes it on to her. Billy would have tipped his hat to her, he was that way. On back of title page is affixed (with mounting corners) a postcard of Billy the Kid, addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Cappel, Patterson, NJ. Opposite page has 2.5 x 4 in. silver gelatin photo with manuscript note: El Capitan - Mescalero N.M. I reckon Billy Seen Ole Capitan over at the Ruidoso p. 94. And at the end, a 2 x 3.75 in. photo with: Mescalero N.M. Th' Lone Tepee. Seems like ye jest cant fergit 'em onct ye seen 'em. Some shelf wear and wear to hinges. One dog-eared page.
