A very fine and extremely rare 18K gold self-winding à toc quarter repeating lever watch with power reserve Signed Breguet, No. 2926, sold on 27 November 1816 to Ouvrard for the sum of 4,500 francs Gilt brass movement, two mainspring barrels and Maltese Cross stop work, five wheel train, jewelled straight line lever escapement, brass escape wheel with upright teeth, two arm bimetallic compensation balance with two sliding brass weights with screws and four meantime adjustment screws, parachute suspension on both pivots, Breguet balance spring, platinum shield-shaped oscillating weight, à toc quarter repeating with one hammer onto the case, weight lock and advance/retard levers in the edge of the dial plate, silver engine-turned dial, Roman numerals on blank chapter ring, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, 60-hour power-reserve sector at 10 o’clock, blued steel Breguet hands, "forme collier" engine-turned grains d’orge case, back secured by two screws in the band and centered with a small engraved monogram, quarter repeating pull-twist push-piece in the pendant, dial signed Breguet et Fils, dial plate edge signed Breguet No. 2926 50.3 mm. diam.
