Pencilled note and bookplate of Harry B. Smith (of A Sentimental Library ) -- BATES, H.E. Seven Tales and Alexander. 1929. Lower fore-corners bit worn; dust jacket soiled and frayed. One of 950 copies. INSCRIBED to "William Hunter... his friend the author" in 1929 -- HUXLEY, ALDOUS. Those Barren Leaves. 1925. Defective dust jacket . INSCRIBED in 1927 with a four-line quote from Wordsworth's poetry -- MOORE, GEORGE. A Story-Teller's Story. New York, 1918. Half morocco slipcase. One of 125 copies (this unnumbered). INSCRIBED to Ethel Palmer, Dec. 1918, who apparently helped him write The Brook Kerith -- SACKVILLE-WEST, VITA. Family History. 1932. Pictorial dust jacket defective.
