British Military Authority, a set of stage proofs (6) for a proposed issue (not adopted) and with date and annotation 'as submitted, June 15th 1952' in top margin. No denomination printed but presumably 6D, 1/-, 2/6, 5/-, 10/-, and £1 (P.inlisted, Schwan Boling 311-316 for similar), Schwan Boling suggest these notes were for a propsed Suez crisis issue having initially been mooted for a second issue of British Military Authority notes which were replaced by the British Armed Forces series of 1946. Schwan Boling also suggest that only one set is known in private hands. uncirculated, excessively rare, £1 and 10/- illustrated (6)
