Jh. — Auf einem hohen, achteckigen, getreppten Sockel stehend ist er in ein reich besticktes Fürstenornat gekleidet, mit Juwelen geschmückt und trägt eine hohe, kronenförmige Tiara, beide Hände in Abhaya Mudra, dem Gestus der Schutzgewährung bzw. des „Nicht-Fürchtens". Bronze, über Schwarzlack vergoldet. H. 52 cm. - Altersschäden, Vergoldung teils lädiert, Krone verbogen. // Buddha — Thailand, Ratanakosin, probably 19th century. Standing on a high, octagonal, stepped base, he is dressed in a richly embroidered princely regalia, adorned with jewels and wearing a high, crown-shaped tiara, both hands in Abhaya Mudra, the gesture of granting protection or of ''not being afraid''.
