Collection of correspondence from Byrd to Admiral George Rock, 1931, comprising 2 typed letters signed (“R E Byrd”), a pencil note by the recipient, and a copy letter; concerning Byrd’s inquiries about the Russian ship “Feodor Litke” and how she breaks the ice. 4. 16 glass lantern slides relating to the Byrd expedition of 1928-29, condition varies, several are cracked.
