with his El Reno, Okla. Terr., ca 1900. The daughter of a captive Lakota woman and the Kiowa war leader Red Otter, brother of the Kiowa Head Chief Lone Wolf, Laura was the mother of two sons with Etahdaleuh Doanmoe. She was a principal informant to the ethnologist James Mooney during his important study of Kiowa history. In 1898, she accompanied the Kiowa tribal delegation to Washington, D.C., as a delegate and interpreter (Petersen, 1971: 148-150; 156). Condition: Very good.
