Spanish 1895 Mauser bolt action carbine. Made "1913" at Oviedo arsenal. as marked on the chamber, below a small crown. Small circled "(crown) / OVIEDO / 1913" cartouche on the left side of the stock. No import mark found. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt, trigger guard, floor plate and rear sight. Standard barrel with blade front sight and rear ladder adjustable to 1400 meters. Receiver looks to have been arsenal reblued. Other components look to have their original finish, with the bolt being in the white. Saddle ring and bar still attached to the bottom of the wrist. Stock has a light oil finish. Original metal butt plate. Includes consignor research. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its finishes, with most areas forming a brown patina. Receiver rating is higher, at 80%. Stock has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine.
