Manufactured 1944 and sold by the CMP in February 2001. Barrel dated "SA 11-44" with modified Springfield Armory operating rod and bolt. Trigger assembly, hammer and safety are all "SA" marked. Walnut stock has Springfield Armory "GAW" cartouche with circle "P" at pistol grip. Locking bar rear sight is "SA" marked. TE reading: 3. ME reading: 2. CONDITION: Very good as partially refinished. The metal components have been arsenal refinish as is expected. The walnut stocks are very fine and have been lightly sanded and refinished with a fresh application of linseed oil. The bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. Rifle functions properly.
