It contains seventeen separate maps of American states or provinces, plus a map of the western British possessions, of South America, and charts of the West Indies and of Cook's discoveries on the northwest coast. The map of Virginia is the first separate map of that state published. The present atlas has the map of Tennessee in a later state, reading "Tennassee State" rather than "Tennassee Government."
