CARUSO, ENRICO. 1873-1921. Autograph Note Signed ("E. Caruso"), to a Mr. Astruc (?), in French, requesting tickets to an appearance to be given to a Mr. Palermi, on a notecard of the Grand Hotel, Paris, undated. Minor handling wear. Matted and framed with a photo of Caruso.
The great tenor Caruso requests that a ticket for his show (undoubtedly at the famed Paris Opera) be given to a Mr. Palermi. The recipient was most likely Amleto Palermi, Italian film director and screenwriter, responsible for over 70 films starting in the silent era, including an adaptation of Puccini's La Bohème in 1917.
