12mm Pinfire, 6.25" octagonal barrel, blued finish, checkered walnut grips. Six-shot double action revolver with the general appearance of an Adams Revolver with a combination of apparent M-1851 and M-1854 features, but without the Adams patent one-piece frame and barrel forging, thus not an actual patent infringement. Two-piece frame, double-action M-1854 Beaumont-Adams style lock work, M-1851 Adams style cylinder arbor pin catch and grip frame, interesting removable loading gate that pivots on a pin that become the ejector rod. Top strap marked Lefaucheux Revolver. Contained in an original form fitted, French style retailers case with a pair of turnscrews, a cleaning rod, six loose 12mm cartridges and a full box of 12mm cartridges in the large rectangular compartment. The casing has a red velvet lining and the pillow has a paper label that reads: LEFAUCHEUX & ADAMS / PARIS = LONDRES. A very interesting variation of the pinfire theme in a wonderful period case. Condition: Very Good. Some original blue the frame, with some added finish on the barrel. Mechanically functional, very good bore. Grips crisp, casing very good.
