Aldus device on title and verso of final leaf. 17th-century English red morocco, covers panelled in gilt, gilt spine, marbled endpapers, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed, small split at head of spine but without loss). Provenance : Falkland (ink ownership inscription dated 1737 on flyleaf) -- pencilled purchase note of 21s from Bernard Quaritch to front free endpaper -- A.H. Bright (bookplate).
