Provenance : Sir David Salomons (armorial bookplate). FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. Hoffmeister traveled as physician to Prince Waldemar of Prussia through Ceylon and Northern India via Agra and Delhi to Nepal and the Central Himalayas. This work was published posthumously as Hoffmeister died at the Battle of Ferozepoor. (2)
