Beschreibung:

Chateau Petrus 1983 Chateau Petrus 1983 Pomerol Lot 3: Excellent levels, excellent labels, 1 capsule slightly damaged Lot 4: Excellent level, label slightly soiled At nearly 30 years old, delicate, spicy and earthy on the nose. Difficult to place as Petrus when tasted blind - it does not seem very Pomerol. Elegance and 'line', with that roasted finish. Drink this now. Serena Sutcliffe, MW Lot 3 3 hbs (cn) per lot: GBP 800-1000 per lot: USD 1300-1600 per lot: EUR 950-1150 The very word Petrus creates a "frisson" unlike any other wine name - and the liquid in the glass induces a dream-like silence as its enormous, almost roasted flavour envelops the palate. The sheer exoticism of this revered vineyard, where clay combines with Merlot to make something wildly heady, needs to be experienced by everyone once in their life (preferably many more times!). Petrus does not taste like other Bordeaux - it is not "classic" but stupendously original, full of oriental spice box flavours which unfold endlessly. A one-off wine that inhabits a world of its own and, of course, a rarity due to its small (11.5 hectares) size. Serena Sutcliffe, MW LYING IN GREENFORD, MIDDLESEX Offered Duty Paid only Quantity: 1
