The album contains a number of military group photographs and individual portraits of both local people and soldiers, including c.65 photographs of scenes in northern China, including Tientsen (modern day Tianjin), Beijing, and Shan-hai-kwan (Shanhaiguan), together with c.20 of Hong Kong, and a few taken in Crete, Malta and India.
