British 1783-1852-
Four Urban Scenes: A market in a Continental town; At a crucifix outside a church; In the porch of Ratisbon Cathedral, Regensburg; and At a well in Nuremberg;

The present works exhibit strong similarities with the work of Prout, whose distinctive watercolours earned him the praise of contemporaries, particularly that of the eminent art critic John Ruskin (1819-1900).
