The Philadelphia portraitist Thomas Sully made numerous copies of Rembrandt's Young Girl Leaning on a Windowsill (1645, Dulwich Picture Gallery, London), which he called "Rembrandt's Peasant Girl," between 1850 and 1866. Several of these copies have recently appeared at auction.
