London: Published and Sold by Edward Orme Printed By J. F. Dove, 1813. Small folio (11 1/2 x 9 inches; 290x225 mm). 10 hand-colored aquatint plates, with grey wash borders, by M. Dubourg after Clark. Modern full red crushed morocco, spine lettered in gilt. Condition : Plates paper-backed, other minor restoration at edges of text leaves. first edition of a rare and beautiful book illustrating aboriginal hunting in the early days of australia. The work was issued separately (as here) and as an Appendix to the 1814 edition of Foreign Field Sports. Although the dedication page and each plate suggests Clark as the author, there is no evidence of his ever being in the region and the work is generally ascribed after John Lewin.
