Title: Collection of illustrations from Harper's Weekly Author: ** Place: [New York] Publisher: [Harper & Brothers] Date: 1860s-1890s Description: Woodcut illustrated pages from the periodical, including: 4 oversize illustrations that measure approximately 15¾x21½ and matted. Including the hand-colored image by A.B. Frost called Snipe-Shooting, and the image by C. Parsons called The Navy Yard at Brooklyn, New York, June, 1861. * 1 loose two-page spread with a large illustration of the British Navy. Tape repair at gutter's crease. * 12 one-page illustrations. Each approximately 16x10½, all but one matted. Four of these are hand-colored, including a 1878 Christmas supplement cover, and two images of US Military ships. All together 17 woodcut illustrated pages. Lot Amendments Condition: The loose pages are good, with tape repairs to tears and a bit of soiling; some of the matted pages with mild edge wear; generally very good overall. Item number: 201222
