Peartree") as Mayor, with papered city seal. New York, 9 September 1707 -- CLINTON, DEWITT. Document signed ("DeWitt Clinton") as Mayor, on parchment with papered city seal, authorizing Michael Ulshoeffer to practice law in the Court of Common Pleas of the City of New York. New York, 18 May 1813. Parchment wrinkled -- CLAY, HENRY. Clipped signature ("Department of State H. Clay") -- [CLAY]. Campaign ribbon for Henry Clay, printed on silk -- WEBSTER, DANIEL. Clipped signature ("Daniel Webster") as Secretary of State (with paper seal present) -- HENRY, PATRICK. Clipped signature ("P.Henry") -- VARICK, RICHARD. Printed document signed ("Richd. Varick") as Mayor, licensing Gerardus Hardenbrook to keep an Inn or Tavern for retailing strong or spirituous Liquors in his Dwelling-House. New York, 2 March 1790. Richard Varick to Gen. Horatio Gates, dated Albany, Oct. 14, 1776" -- MORRIS, GOUVERNEUR. Clipped signature ("Gouvr. Morris") -- HULL, Capt. ISAAC. Clipped signature -- [BURR, AARON]. Manuscript document, in the hand of Charles Wilkins, plaintiff. Supreme Court of Philadelphia, 17 December 1813.
