COLUMBUS-VERLAG, Berlin, circa 1925 WELT-VERKHERS-GLOBUS Bearbeitet von Dr. Ernst Friedrich, Professor an der Universitt u. Dozent and der Handelshochschule zu Leipzig. COLUMBUS-VERLAG G.m.b.H Berlin-Lichterfelde. A 20 inch (50.8cm.) diameter terrestrial library globe made up of twelve colour printed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equator graduated in degrees, no ecliptic, the oceans showing ocean currents and steamship routes with journey time in days and ports of arrival and departure, the continents with nation states outlined in various colours, showing towns, cities, railway lines, rivers, mountains and other details ( neat repairs and rewriting near North Pole, some abrasions, crude patch of painting in East Pacific ), with engraved brass meridian half circle, raised on a mahogany Art Deco style tripod stand and triangular plinth base 41 inch (105.4cm.) high
