HUGH WALPOLE'S COPY (the author and close friend of Conrad) with his ownership inscription (dated "Oct: 1912" -- publication month) and with his armourial bookplate and his "Brackenburn" book label. Keating 97; Smith 17: "The stamp [for the binding] was incorrectly made and the error caught almost immediately, although about 20 copies went into circulation." Contains the first book appearance of "The Secret Sharer." A very good copy.
