[published 1950]. Together 192 pages, 8vo-4to, tipped into, loosely inserted, mounted or written directly onto pages of a folio album, hand-lettered title-page with drawing by H.M. Bateman, typed foreword signed by Edna Mountbatten of Burma, orange morocco gilt, gilt-lettered upper cover, gilt spine, a few pages wrinkled, the binding slightly rubbed . AS WE LIKE IT: A CHARITY COOK-BOOK FOR RETURNED BRITISH PRISONERS OF WAR A highly unusual collection of manuscripts from a broad assortment of statesmen, authors, critics, socialites and cinema personalities; proceeds from the the published book were used to aid recently returned prisoners of war.
