Glue relined, with two additional patches on the reverse. Two restored tears (corresponding to the patches) in the red curtain in the upper left quadrant. Touches of restoration on the face and hands, especially on the sittlers lower right jaw. A crescent-shaped 4-inch restored tear across the sitter's right cuff (on the viewer's left). The restorations have been done carefully to a very high professioinal standard.
