Title within ruled boder, title in Latin and English, text in English printed in italics opposite Latin text in roman type (very browned and stained, lower corner of title clipped with loss of one word, lacking front endpaper.) Contemporary calf (worn). "A collection of maxims probably first published in Nürnberg, Germany, in 1540 and first translated into English by Charles Hoole in 1658." (Osborne II, p.703).
