Two renowned studies on the migration of art in Asia, the first emphasizing the meeting of Oriental and Greek civilizations resulting from the Alexandrian conquests, and the development of short-lived Indo-Greek cultures and the rise of Greco-Buddhist Buddhism in Central Asia. Included are views of Bamiyan and Begram in Afghanistan.
