Title printed in red and black with engraved portrait vignette of Sir Thomas More by J.A.C. Harrison. Engraved 'King's Library' series title after Blanche McManus. Illuminated with 21 hand-drawn and coloured initials in gold, red, blue and green, ?by Blanche McManus. Contemporary crushed chestnut morocco gilt by Bumpus Ltd, the covers with borders of 2 gilt fillets around a blind-tooled fillet, the spine gilt in 6 compartments divided by raised bands, titled in gilt in 2 and dated at the foot, the other compartments with gilt- and blind-tooled frames, gilt-ruled board edges and turn ins, gilt edges (board edges lightly rubbed and scuffed, short surface crack on upper joint). LIMITED TO 300 COPIES, THIS NUMBER 2 OF 10 COPIES ON VELLUM, WITH HAND- DRAWN AND COLOURED INITIALS, with manuscript limitation signed by Alexander Moring, the founder of the De La More Press: 'This copy of ''The Mirrour of Vertue in Wordly Greatnes'' is no. 2 of ten copies printed on vellum with hand illuminated initials.
