DEMOSTHENES (385?-322BC). Logoi, kai prooimia demogorika, kai epistolai [graecè] , with the scholia of Ulpian and edited by Guillaume Morel and Denys Lambin. Paris: Jacques Dupuys (Jean Bienné), 1570. 2° (339 x 215mm). Woodcut device on title, woodcut initials, with the final colophon leaf (small flaw at foot of Ss1 with loss of signature, occasional very light spotting and browning). Late 17th-century English sprinkled calf (rebacked, 2 corners repaired, the others a little worn). Provenance : near contemporary purchase inscription on an endpaper 'pretium xiiij s' (name deleted) - 19th-century unidentified armorial bookplate with motto 'avancez' - L.A. Burd (armorial bookplate). Adams D266; Hoffmann I, p.509.
