(Occasional light spotting, some advertisements browned.) Original printed wrappers with woodcut design on upper wrappers by J. Cooper after Browne, later half-morocco box (some light browning and marking, some chips and neat repairs on spines, part IV bound in part VI wrappers with part number and month neatly amended in manuscript). FIRST EDITION IN THE ORIGINAL PARTS, WITH THE EARLY STATES OF THE ERRATA LEAF AND PP.324 AND 426. In this set the issue points are as follows: part XI the earliest issue with 'Capatin' on the last line of p.324; part XIII with 'Octo 1847' on p.1 of 'Dombey & Son Advertiser'; part XIV with p.431 numbered but lacking 'if' on p.426, line 9.
