The Dom Pérignon suitably honoured the occasion. A lovely wine, unusually rich. Most recently, a magnum welcoming seven guests at Wilf Jaeger's hilltop house south of San Francisco Bay prior to his Romanée-Conti tasting: pale; elegant; noted as 'dry', crisp, very good length, lemon and with smoky aftertaste.
