Speyer: Peter Drach [not after 1479]. 2 volumes, royal 2° (392 x 285mm). Collation: I: [1-2 10 3-5 8 6 10 7-13 8 14 10 15-20 8 21-22 6 23-35 8 36-37 10 ] (1/1 blank, 1/2r text, 37/10v blank). II: [1-2 10 3-7 8 8 6 9-21 8 22-23 10 24-30 8 31 6 ] (1/1 blank, 1/2r text, 31/5v colophon, printer's device, 31/6 blank). 304; 250 (of 252, without first and final blank) leaves. 58 lines, double column. Type: 1:130G, 2:94G. I: 16-line initial opening text in interlocking blue and red with green, purple and red penwork floral infill and extension, 6-line initial on same page similarly decorated, other initials and paragraph marks alternating in red or blue, red capital strokes, heading written in brown ink at upper corner, some contemporary quiring visible. II: 4- to 6-line initials in blue or red, red paragraph marks or capital strokes. (I: very small dampstain at some extreme fore-margins, small marginal wormholes in final quire; II: staining at extreme upper margin, some minor marginal worming.) Part I bound in contemporary blindstamped calf over bevelled wooden boards, sides panelled and diapered with triple fillets, Agnus Dei, fleurs-de-lis, lion, and foliate tools (not in Kyriss or Schunke), chain staple holes on lower cover (rebacked, retaining part of original backstrip, without corner and central bosses, scuffed); part II in contemporary blindstamped calf over wooden boards, sides panelled with rows of eagle and Christ stamps (rebacked, worn in part, missing metal furniture and clasps).
