Edwin Dalton Smith 1845 A collection of seven members of the Dickson Family including: Major General Dickson C.B., full face in scarlet coat with gold epaulettes and wearing the Most Honourable Order of the Bath and the Army Large Gold Medal 1806-14, holding the Marmaluke hilt of his sword signed, inscribed and dated on reverse 'Gen l Dickson Painted Aug t 1845 Edwin D.Smith 7 Hertford S May[fair]' Mrs. Dickson (née Harriet Dallas), facing right in off-the-shoulder brown dress with ruched bodice and diaphanous sleeves, wearing a pink turban with pearls and a falling white veil (cracked); Miss Fanny Charlotte Dickson, in a white dress with a double lace collar and blue bow at corsage, fair hair signed, inscribed and dated 'Miss F.
