(26.7x21cm.) ; a pencil portrait sketch of Von Stroheim by Rex Ingram, signed, titled and dated '22 by the artist -- 9¾x6½in. (24.8x16.6cm.) signed Erich ; eight black and white stills from various films including: Intolerance; The Wedding March and Merry Go Round , (a few printed later) two inscribed on verso in Von Stroheim's hand, largest -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.5cm.) ; an autograph page in Von Stroheim's hand concerning the ...existence of God ; an assortment of greetings cards and a menu addressed to Maurice Bessy, various dates 1937-1946; and a typescript letter signed, 11th December, 1950 to Bessy regarding correspondence he had received from him and Robert Florey ...you must have called me your "friend" over which fact I am very happy, having come during the course of years to believe you had forgotten our friendship. It shows that even I can make mistakes... and inviting Bessy to be his guest at Billy Wilder's presentation of Sunset Boulevard to the French press in Paris, 1p.; and related material (a lot)
