Fascinating balance of a vintage collection assembled in the 1940s, chiefly in a battered manila stockbook and several club books, the GB with four penny blacks of which one four margins, lots of imperf and perf 1d reds to explore, Bantams incl. 'specimen', interesting surface-printed QV incl. 4d green 'specimen', 6d grey plates unused, 1876 2½d rosy mauve plate 8 imprimatur, 1880 1d venetian red imprimatur and 1d lilac mint imperf/imprimatur, KEVII mint 2/6d (2) and 10/-, 1913 Waterlow 10/- seahorse mint, etc, as well as re-engraved seahorse set mint though toning issues. Also Newfoundland and Canada classics, latter with 17cts Cartier unused (faults), US classics, 1935 Silver Jubilee special album looking complete mint, some areas with tone spots but many sets clean, plus fancy Triumph album largely empty. Distinct probability of finds here, thorough inspection advised.
