“Delegates Chair”. A very rare wengé armchair. Seat and back upholstered with Gunnar Aagaard Andersen's “Letters 0140” fabric. Model FJ 51. Designed 1951. This example made approx. 1965–72 by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, not stamped. Provenance: Percy von Halling-Koch, hence by descent in the family. This piece is an extremely rare example of the “Delegates Chair” as it is the only known piece of furniture executed in wengé wood by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder.
