Five: Company Sergeant-Major Patrick Reaney, Royal Munster Fusiliers, who was twice mentioned in despatches during the Great War and awarded an Annuity M.S.M. in 1951 Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Modder River, Orange Free State (5456 Col. P. Reaney, Munster Fus:); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf (5456 A.W.O. Cl. 1. P. Reaney. R. Mun. Fus.); Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (5456 C.S. Mjr: P. Reaney. R. Muns: Fus:); Meritorious Service Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue (519626 W.O. Cl. 2. P. Reaney. R. Mun. Fus.) mounted as worn, the first with edge bruising, very fine, otherwise extremely fine (5) £300-360 Footnote M.I.D. London Gazette 13 November 1916 (Haig) and 7 November 1917 (Haig). Sold with both original M.I.D. certificates; some correspondence from his widow; and copied m.i.c. which confirms entitlement to pair only and that he also served with the Labour Corps.
